Radiansa Consulting operates from offices in the United Kingdom (Radiansa Consulting Ltd., company registered in England No. 7833136) and Spain (Radiansa Consulting S.L., listed in the Mercantile Register of Girona, Spain). Since 2004, Radiansa has provided quality radiation measurement, detection and protection products and services to clients in sectors as diverse as health and safety, metal recycling, construction, security, academic research and environmental protection as well as to private individuals interested in radiation protection issues. Our main areas of activity are the following:

Architectural shielding against electromagnetic radiation

Shielding living and working spaces against high-frecuency electromagnetic radiation and low-frequency electromagnetic fields is the core of the business. Low-frequency shielding generally implies reducing the impact of magnetic fields generated by power transformers or other electrical installations by fully or partially enclosing the electromagnetic field source with special materials (high magnetic permeability alloys). Otherwise we create shields in the living or working space to reduce the localised field intensity. We also install shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference, in data centres for example.

Architectural high-frequency shielding involves reducing the intensity in building interiors of electromagnetic radiation emitted by external telecommunications antennae. We work on projects great and small, with homeowners concerned out possible health implications of mobile telephone base station antennae sited close to their houses, to entire buildings. We have, and are at time of writing, worked on the largest residential high-frequency shielding projects in the world, including skyscraper developments of 50 and 60 storeys and can claim to be world leaders in this field.

Nuclear radiation detection and measurement equipment

Our main supplier of nuclear radiation detection and measurement equipment is Polimaster Instruments who manufacture a range of innovative instrumentation including hand-held radionuclide identifiers, equipment designed for search and detection of illicit radioactive material, electronic dosimeters, alarming ratemeters, wristwatch detectors... We've worked with Polimaster since 2004 and are one of their top European distributors. Our main customers are hospitals, scrap metal recycling facilities, industrial radiographers, security personel, universites.. we supply people right across the board. We also supply leading models of radon gas measurement equipment including the industry standard RAD7 (I am EU authorized representative for the Durridge Inc, manufacturer of the RAD7), the Radonscout, the E-PERM passive monitor system, and the new Rstone family of radon detectors.

Occupational health

We also provide guidance for occupational health related issues principally related to exposures de electromagnetic fields and compliance with the exposure guidelines formulated by the European Commision. We have also been very active in the investigation of cases of Lipoatrophia Semicircularis, a condition related to exposures de low-frequency electric fields generally in adminstrative environments, and have proposed a coherent hypothesis relating the production of anomolous electric fields with normally occuring electrostatic charges as the cause of the condition. We have investigated, and solved, hundreds of cases.
