Early Personal History
I was born in Eastbourne, Sussex (England) where I went to Tollgate Primary School, Eastbourne Grammar and High School (which became ESFC while I was there), and Eastbourne College of Further Education. I worked in various jobs before taking the academic route, washing pots and pans in the hotels on Eastbourne seafront, as well as gardening, decorating, warehousing, and a stint in roofing after the 1988 storm, which wasn't to my liking due to the inherent danger of falling off. I played guitar in a hardcore punk band (details ad recordings available elsewhere), and wisely spent much of my precious time skateboarding and socialising, as well as philosophising extensively on political and moral issues. I have followed a vegetarian diet since (around 28 years at time of writing), and I still pick up the guitar. Skateboarding, however, has fallen by the wayside, as did I frequently in my skating days. My personal heroes are few, and mostly come from this period of my life, and include Steve Marriot, Kevin Seconds and Mr. Spock. I have been fortunate enough to meet two of them.
